Werner and his team have started with their annual pruning action, trimming the vines back to the right shape in preparation for next year’s harvest. Produced in the cool climate region of Elgin in South Africa, the Sutherland Chardonnay 2012 ranked with some of the world’s best, earning not only a Gold medal at the 2015 International Wine Challenge (IWC), but also walking away with the South African Chardonnay Trophy at the same competition.
Even though our vineyards are gearing up for their annual winter break, we’re keeping busy on Thelema. Werner has just finished harvesting the olives trees planted throughout the estate.
