Thelema Chardonnay 2015, 2016 & 2018

It was a White Burgundy from Puligny-Montrachet, known for the restrained mineral quality of their Chardonnay, which persuaded Gyles to leave his accounting career behind and become a winemaker. In honour of the Puligny-Montrachet that gave rise to the entire enterprise, we have put together a vertical of our top Chardonnays to try and encapsulate what it was that so captured Gyles’s imagination back then.

Food Pairing

Full flavoured dishes such as lobster, tuna, chicken and pork. 

Winemaker's Comments

Thelema’s Chardonnay is rich, creamy, and aromatic with a fine mineral streak and nutty oak. Thelema’s Chardonnay is a Burgundy-inspired white crafted with minimal fining and filtration to keep in all the characteristics of a fabulous terroir. It was aged in oak for 10 months to add extra complexity and structure.
